Tara’s awakening feels like an emotional roller-coaster as the foundation of her world is ripped out from under her. This is the story of her spiritual awakening as her repressed past surfaces and rocks her world. The present challenges Tara faces of violence, divorce, and death of her mother hardly compare to the horrific childhood she is reliving. She pieces together the truth of her past as the memories are triggered by violence in the present day. Tara realizes that all of this is happening for a reason, and she believes she will come through it.
